Tutor City.jpg

Client: Wee Ben Sen, Founder of Tutor City

Goal: The client approached us with a concern regarding the sudden decline in rankings for their website's 350 well-performing keywords. Suspecting keyword cannibalization due to duplicated keywords across multiple blog pages, the client sought our expertise to identify if there were competing web pages targeting the same keywords, leading to a drop in rankings.

Action: To address the client's concern, we employed an effective strategy using Search Operator directly on Google. This allowed us to generate a comprehensive list of pages that appeared relevant and optimized for specific keywords. We then conducted a thorough manual analysis to identify any competing web pages targeting the same keywords.

Results: Through our diligent analysis, we successfully identified instances of keyword cannibalization within the website. We pinpointed cases where multiple pages were competing for the same keywords, causing a decline in search rankings. This allowed us to gain valuable insights into the issue and devise appropriate solutions.

Impact: By identifying and addressing the keyword cannibalization problem, we enabled the client to rectify the duplicated keyword issue and optimize their web pages more effectively. This helped improve their overall search engine rankings and ensured that each page had a clear purpose and targeted distinct keywords.

Conclusion: Our SEO Keyword Cannibalization project for TutorCity.sg proved instrumental in identifying and resolving the issue of duplicated keywords affecting their search rankings. By providing actionable insights and recommendations, we empowered the client to enhance their website's performance and regain lost rankings.
